Members of Fellowship Health Resources, who spent weeks learning and demonstrating expressive power through a camera lens, presented their work at a photography exhibit at the University of Maine. The themes of each class were learning to voice individual accomplishments, challenges, fears, and joys through photography.
Music, art, and camaraderie were just a few of the aspects of Studio 35 that individuals shared at FHR's Art, History, and Architecture (AHA!) Night. This cultural, community event in the Frederick Douglass Gallery at Gallery X provided a platform for artists and musicians to share their talents as part of Studio 35.
Members of Fellowship Health Resources share their creative talents at different locations around the Phoenixville community. These “Arts in Recovery” exhibits are part of Studio 35, FHR’s creative arts and music recovery program, and support Mental Health America’s “May is Mental Health Month” initiative.
The "Arts in Recovery" exhibit continued this week at the Daniel J. Detwiler YMCA in Phoenixville. With a membership of over 32,000 people, this YMCA is a very busy place. Staff report how lucky they were to have this exhibit in the main lobby, where they received an extensive flow of foot traffic.
“We’ve been looking for space to designate as our official Studio 35 area in Fall River,” says Rehab and Recovery Group Coordinator Terri Bernier. “The common area on the second floor of Harbor Hill hasn’t really been used too often in the past, so we decided to make this room the Studio 35 space.”
