FHR says goodbye to a beloved community leader after working at FHR for over 21 years. “In life you meet many people who make a good impression on you,” says FHR President/CEO Joe Dziobek. “But some, because of their extraordinary accomplishments, make a lasting impression.”
FHR has been working with local organizations to offer members an interactive program called the Recreational Endeavor Initiative. Working alongside a local clubhouse, FHR initiated this program after a request from the Department of Mental Health (DMH). This program promotes wellness, movement, and involvement in the community.
Members of Fairwinds Clubhouse at Fellowship Health Resources are awakening their creative side at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. As part of Studio 35, Fairwinds Clubhouse members of Falmouth, and Dorothy Bearse Apartments residents of Hyannis, submitted artwork to the “Healing through the Art” exhibit at the Center this past week.
The Day Program at Fellowship Health Resources recently had special visitors from the University of Maine. Nutrition students Emily Hinkle and Hannah Ruhl shared a presentation about healthy living and nutritional information with FHR persons served as part of a community outreach program.
As part of the Shape Up RI effort, Fellowship Health Resources is sponsoring its first ever agency-wide 12-week fitness and healthy eating program for both employees and persons served.
