Members of the Green Thumb Gardening Program at Fellowship Health Resources were able to grow literally thousands of plants this season thanks to the generous support of many local organizations. Fairview Greenhouses and Garden Center and Whole Foods Market of Cary both donated supplies to make this project possible.
Studio 35 at Fellowship Health Resources in New Bedford has plans to expand thanks to a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council. The $1,600 that was awarded to FHR will be used to fund this creative recovery program. “We’re thrilled to have the support of the New Bedford Local Cultural Council,” says FHR President/CEO Joe Dziobek.
“The Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition has an employment celebration each year to recognize employers who have given our members a chance and a place to work,” says Plymouth Bay Clubhouse Assistant Program Director Cheryl West. “This year, we were happy to honor FHR with one of these awards.”
Studio 35 provided a platform for expression for residents of Fellowship House. On Wednesday, April 18, individuals participated in a peer-run crochet class. “We planned this activity as part of Studio 35 to expose persons served to an activity that they may be unfamiliar with,” says Regional Practice Manager Heather Spunzo.
The Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) hosted a Legislative Breakfast in the Great Hall of the State House for community members and organizations in Southeastern Massachusetts. Fellowship Health Resources was well represented, with Director of Peer Recovery Services Bob Rousseau co-hosting the event.
