NAMI Delaware
NAMI Delaware is a statewide organization of families, mental health consumers, friends, and professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by life-changing brain diseases such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. Their mission is to support, educate, and advocate until there is a cure for serious and persistent mental illness.

 

Maine:


Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)
Provides integrated health and human services to the people of Maine to assist individuals in meeting their needs, while respecting the rights and preferences of the individual and family, within available resources.

NAMI Maine
NAMI Maine is a nonprofit organization with over 20 family and consumer support groups, whose members work locally to help people cope more easily with mental illness.

 

Massachusetts:


Massachusetts Department of Mental Health
Provides extensive information and resources relating to mental health.

Massachusetts Department of Public Health
Provides extensive information and resources relating to public health.

Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers
Contains resources and information for human service providers.

Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC)
Contains resources and information on vocational rehabilitation services, independent living services, and eligibility determination for the SSI/SSDI (federal) benefits programs for Massachusetts citizens with disabilities.

North Carolina:


North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (MHDDSAS)
Created in 1973, MHDDSAS’ mission is to promote excellence in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse disorders in North Carolina.

The mission of NAMI North Carolina is to promote recovery and optimize the quality of life for those living with mental illness.

 

Pennsylvania:


Pennsylvania Department of Health
For more than 100 years, the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) has been working to improve and protect the health of the citizens of this great commonwealth.

PA Department of Human Services
The Pennsylvania Health and Human Services website offers a one-stop online guide to services, programs, agencies, and organizations in Pennsylvania that are ready to help.

PA Department of Human Service Program Offices
Provides information about each of the eight program offices that administer DPW services, along with contact information and links to other relevant sites.

NAMI Pennsylvania
Founded in 1983, NAMI PA is the largest statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping mental health consumers and their families rebuild their lives and conquer the challenges posed by serious and persistent mental illness.

Chester County Department of Mental Health/Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
The Chester County Department of MH/IDD is the county authority responsible to oversee services for Chester County residents. The website provides information to Chester County residents about the services available for people with developmental and behavioral health challenges. 

Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH)
CCBH is the Medicaid Managed Care Organization which funds many of the behavioral health services provided in Chester County. The website will assist CCBH members to learn about what services may be available to support them in various areas of their lives, providing information about what those services are and how they can help. 

 

Rhode Island:


Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH)
BHDDH assures access to services and supports for Rhode Islanders with special health care needs through assessment of health care and support needs; planning and policy development; and purchase or provision of services and supports.

Virginia:


Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services
Available to citizens statewide, Virginia’s public mental health, intellectual disability and substance abuse services system is comprised of 16 state facilities and 40 locally-run community services boards. The community services boards and facilities serve children and adults who have or who are at risk of mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, or substance use disorders.
